Trans Activist Jessica Yaniv Claims Gynecologist Refused to See Her

This year, we all heard about a trans woman named Jessica Yaniv who caused a stir amongst the community when she announced that she was going to file complaints against other women who refused to wax her.

She went on to sue these women, but the tables were ultimately turned on herself and she very quickly became one of the most hated women on Twitter.

Jessica lost her case against the waxing salon, but this hasn’t stopped her from causing controversy amongst the LGBTQ+ community.

Acceptance for the LGBTQ+ community has grown massively over the years…

Today, in 2019, society is becoming more accepting of and respectful towards the LGBTQ+ community. We celebrate those who aren’t afraid to love who they love – as we should!

The transgender community is bigger than ever…

Merriam-Webster defines “transgender” as “of, relating to, or being a person whose gender identity differs from the sex the person had or was identified as having at birth.”

Over the years, this has been embraced, and those that identify as transgender have been able to comfortably be themselves – something that is ridiculously important.

But, sadly, trans people put up with hate and abuse on a daily basis.

Alongside other members of the LGBTQ+ community, trans people face hate, abuse, and even death in some cases, for identifying as a gender that is different from the sex they were assigned at birth.

So the world is no stranger to issues surrounding the treatment of the community…

And Jessica Yaniv is certainly no stranger to being the face of these issues.

Born as Johnathan Yaniv…

The Canadian-born Yaniv now identifies as Jessica, and as a woman.

Like many other women, Yaniv wanted to visit a salon to get a Brazilian wax.

An intimate female service…

Yaniv wanted access to the intimate services that were located in Vancouver earlier this year but was ultimately refused as she still has male genitalia.

Any female beautician who refused to handle her manhood was accused of being “transphobic,” according to Yaniv, because they are “denying her womanhood.”

Complaints were filed against more than a dozen female waxers…

This was done with the help of the Human Rights Council (HRC) in British Columbia.

According to reports, Yaniv claimed that the women’s refusal to give her a Brazilian wax, to handle her manhood while removing hair, is discriminatory behavior.

She certainly didn’t hold back…

According to The National Post, the HRC hearings revolve around the question: “Should a business be allowed to deny service on the basis of gender identity?”

The hearing learned that Yaniv came across the waxing business via Facebook back in 2018.

It advertised an offer for a Brazilian wax, which involved the removal of pubic hair around the groin.

The salon’s owner, Marcia Da Silva, said that she had started the home-based-business after previously performing waxes on family and friends.

Da Silva admitted to canceling Yaniv’s session.

Yaniv booked an afternoon appointment via text message but claimed that, after she declared that she was transgender, the appointment was canceled.

Da Silva told the tribunal: “I have no problem with LGBT,” but she was, apparently, “just not comfortable waxing male genitals.” The idea also did not sit well with her husband, it was reported.

Yaniv began persisting…

Da Silva added that everyone has the right to decide who comes into their home and noted that she was also uncomfortable with the persistent messages that she was receiving from Yaniv.

“For my safety, I said, ‘No,’” she testified.

Da Silva said that she defined someone transgender as someone who has undergone gender reassignment surgery.

This ultimately resulted in Yaniv attempting to tell the tribunal that she was, in fact, intersex and that she had female body parts – which she had failed to mention at any point previously.

A nerve had clearly been touched…

It was reported that the hearing developed into a name-calling session, with Yaniv comparing Da Silva to a “neo-nazi.”

Women are having action taken against them for refusing to handle male genitalia…

2 of these women have already been forced out of business by the HRC’s actions.

Despite the LGBTQ+ community usually standing by one another…

People were quick to turn against Yaniv, branding her a “psychopath” and even a “predator.”
